Mine

Mine is located almost in the center of the west of Yamaguchi Prefecture, and currently has three expressway interchanges within the city, with the Ogori-Hagi Road running north and south through the city. In addition, the city can be accessed by Shinkansen or airplane via Asa Station, Shin-Yamaguchi Station, and Yamaguchi-Ube Airport.

Mine is blessed with a rich natural environment, including the Akiyoshidai karst plateau, one of Japan's largest, and Akiyoshido, one of Japan's largest limestone caves. There are also many fascinating natural and historical sites, such as Kinreisha Shrine, named after the Battle of Otaedo, which marked the beginning of the Meiji Restoration, and the remains of the country's largest anthracite mine and tunnels.
